Blackened Salmon Tacos With Forbidden Rice & Mango Guacamole

These tacos are CASH MONEY, which in my own language (and perhaps R. Kelly's) essentially means they're goooooood.
On the New Year, we went deep sea fishing in Florida and ending up cooking some of the fish we caught. Tony's sister's BF, Matt, made blackened grouper and we topped it with my mango guacamole; the flavor in comparison to something out of some fancy Martha Stewart journal (aka fancy AF). After returning home, I knew I had a need to enable you to get a recipe that was somewhat similar. Therefore blackened salmon tacos were born!
Looking back, I could keep in mind when I first began cooking food and salmon intimidated me since overcooking the fish can easily happen. Though mainly because all cooking and baking will go, you don't become better unless you experiment just a little. The forbidden grain (aka black rice) in this formula is ridiculously delicious, chewy and pairs well using the slight spiciness from the fish. Did you know that dark rice gets the highest quantity of antioxidants in comparison to every other rice? It's also rich in protein and fiber and it has anti-inflammatory properties. The mango guacamole also helps to balance all of the flavors out. Oddly, the salmon makes the best leftovers when scrambled with eggs. Salmon breakfast tacos on do it again.

Ingredients

For the salmon:
tablespoon blackening seasoning
For the mango guacamole:
medium ripe avocado
ripe mango, diced
Salt and pepper to taste
For the tacos:
8 corn tortillas
Instructions
Cook rice over the stovetop according to the directions around the package. Black rice normally takes about 45 a few minutes to cook and is chewy when carried out.
While the salmon and rice are cooking, help to make the mango guacamole. Inside a moderate bowl, add the avocado and work with a fork to mash it until it reaches the desired regularity. (If you want chunky guac, don't mash it just as much.) I'd also lightly brush both sides of the salmon (like the skin) using a bit of olive oil to avoid sticking. Be sure to also oil your grill a little! Place salon pores and skin side down initial on grill, close grill lid and grill about 3 minutes. Cautiously turn salmon and cook 3-5 more minutes or until cooked well. Salmon is tricky, but you need to undercook rather than overcook your filets.
Steps to make DIY blackening seasoning: In a small bowl mix collectively the next: /2 teaspoon sea sodium, teaspoon paprika, /2 teaspoon garlic clove natural powder, /2 teaspoon onion natural powder, /4 teaspoon cayenne pepper, /2 teaspoon black pepper, /4 teaspoon dried thyme, /2 teaspoon dried oregano, /2 teaspoon chili powder (leave out the cayenne if you don't like spice).
